Moms of the Bible

Life-changing lessons from the Fearless, Flawed, and Faithful

Book reviewer, Priscilla holding Uncomplicate It

About the Book

Sometimes moms have the thought, “I’ll be a better mom tomorrow…” but this time never comes, and they question the quality of the mother they are. ‘Moms of the Bible’ is a women’s non-fiction book that explores the scriptures for lessons from moms of the Bible, who navigated motherhood and learned from the ups and downs of life. In this book, you will find moms of various backgrounds and types. Failure, faith, and hope are just a few of the attributes that describe them. Among the mothers you will read about are Rahab, Herodias, Hannah, Eve, and several more. Prepare for insights and powerful applications that will help moms raise children who impact their generation with fearless faith. Sit with author Rhonda Stoppe as she engages you with the warmth and wisdom of a trusted friend with personal experience. She speaks to mothers of all ages and stages, including stepmothers, adoptive mothers, foster mothers, and grandmothers raising grandchildren. Mom of the Bible is a thorough exploration of the sacred ministry of motherhood.

My Personal Thoughts & Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rhonda Stoppe writes biblically grounded, literate retellings and explorations of various mothers in the Bible in ‘Moms of the Bible.’ Her work teaches fearless faith, finding hope, wisdom, and discernment from Jesus, which I find invaluably encouraging.

There are several features to this book that make it a five-star recommendation.

– An appendix that details how to have a relationship with Jesus. Perfect for unbelievers who pick up the book.

– Life lessons with questions and prompts at the end of each chapter.

– Thorough person breakdowns and observations about each mom of the Bible who is discussed.

– Frameworks throughout the book.

– An author video series with heartfelt lessons from Rhonda Stoppe for each chapter.

Finally, I love how this resource presents motherhood as a ministry that extends over generations. I not only recommend it to moms, but also to women who are believing for motherhood in their future. It is a true exploration of the moms of the Bible who were fearless, flawed, and faithful. A very realistic and timely resource.

Bringing Heaven Here

Discovering The Lord’s Prayer

Book reviewer, Priscilla holding Uncomplicate It

About the BIBLE

PUBLISHER DETAILS…

The Lord’s prayer is the single most important passage in the Bible for understanding who God is, why Jesus came, and our purpose here on earth.

Although you may know the Lord’s Prayer by heart, do you know the context behind the words? This book helps you see the prayer the way Jesus first gave it. When you do, it stops feeling routine, and becomes a blueprint for discipleship.

If someone has enjoyed The Lord’s Prayer film streaming on Angel, they will love the book, which goes even deeper into the context behind the prayer and its application to our lives today.

My Personal Thoughts & Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

One of my primary goals this year is to grow in my relationship and intimacy with God, not with a perfectionist agenda, but with softness and intention. Reading Christian literature that points me to abundant living and my purpose as a Christ follower allows me to do that.

I learn best through content I can interact with and engage with through questions, memorable frameworks, and action steps. I trust that the framework outlined in Bringing Heaven Here will allow me to do that with the Lord’s Prayer.

I’ve often heard of the power of the Lord’s Prayer, but this is the first resource I have personally found that breaks it down in a way I can understand. W Publishing books always break concepts down in a way that is digestible and easy to cement in my memory.

The Weight of Mercy

Christian Fantasy Book

Book reviewer, Priscilla holding Uncomplicate It

About the BIBLE

FROM THE PUBLISHER…

Weight of Mercy puts paladins at the center of the story in a way few fantasy novels dare to. Instead of using them as background holy warriors or worse, scapegoats for the anti-hero, this book explores what it truly means to carry both the sword and the sacred vow. These paladins fight evil creatures, yes, but they also battle doubt and hard choices, and the crushing expectation to be merciful in a world where mercy can get you killed. They are warriors with a spiritual mandate — flawed, fervent, and fiercely human — and the novel steps into their inner struggles as much as their battlefield heroics. The novel also unfolds in a shattered alternate history, where Europe has been reshaped by sudden chasms, demon incursions, and strange distortions of time and fate. Kingdoms that should have risen or fallen have instead collided. Geography twists. Eras bleed together. Yet beneath all this, the familiar echoes of medieval Europe remain, now strained under supernatural disaster. This is a world both recognizable and originally different. For readers who miss classic heroic fantasy—uncomplicated valor, chivalry, faith, and epic stakes.

My Personal Thoughts & Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Weight of Mercy is my first fantasy novel, and I am in love with this book. The action, storyline, and faith infused throughout make it such an easy and enjoyable read. It’s the kind of story you can pick up when you want to escape reality for a little while and step into something adventurous.

I recommend The Weight of Mercy for readers who want a soft entry into the Christian fantasy genre. As a first-timer, this book has been very digestible for me, effortless to follow, and it’s definitely keeping me on my toes.

Hidden scrolls

The mystery of the ancient Map

Book reviewer, Priscilla holding Uncomplicate It

About the book

The Hidden Scrolls series by M. J. Thomas is an exciting new adventure for young readers. The Mystery of the Ancient Map follows Peter, Mary, and their dog Hank as they uncover an ancient map marked with mysterious red Xs—each one leading to a new hidden scroll and a journey back to pivotal moments in Biblical history.

In The Brave Queen, the first book in the series, what begins as a trip to Israel for Great Uncle Solomon’s archaeology award quickly turns into another time-travel mission. After receiving a mysterious ancient map, Peter and Mary are transported back to Persia during the time of Queen Esther. There, they meet Esther, Mordecai, and the villainous Haman while working to uncover the secret of the scroll.

In The Big Fish, another red X on the ancient map leads Peter, Mary, and Hank to the sea. After discovering a new hidden scroll, they are transported back in time and find themselves aboard a ship headed into a violent storm. There, they meet Jonah and experience the unforgettable moment of being swallowed by a giant fish. As they journey toward Nineveh, they work to uncover the secret of the scroll while witnessing a powerful moment from Biblical history.

With fast-paced storytelling and engaging action, this series helps children grow in Biblical literacy while bringing Scripture to life in an imaginative and accessible way.

Let me share my personal thoughts with you!

My Personal Thoughts & Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you are raising—or know—a child ages 6–9 (roughly 2nd–3rd grade), The Secret of the Hidden Scrolls by M. J. Thomas is an engaging adventure series. These books catapult young readers into mystery, action, and Biblical history in a way that feels exciting rather than intimidating.

What makes this series stand out to me is its strong Biblical focus. The stories place children right into key moments in Scripture, helping them not just hear about Biblical events, but truly experience them through the adventure.

I also really appreciate the illustrations woven throughout the chapters. The images, every few pages, help bring the story to life and support a child’s imagination as they picture the scenes unfolding.

Most of all, I love that this series teaches Biblical history in an enjoyable and understandable way. It offers young readers clean, educational literary entertainment that families can feel good about.
