A sweet story teaching children that Jesus is their forever friend who loves and cares for them always.
Introducing Slugs & Bugs Kid’s Sunday Songs
Yes, yes, yes!!! Recently, I received a CD of Kid’s Sunday Songs from Slugs & Bugs, created by Randall Goodgame, and it instantly filled my heart with joy. From the moment I opened the CD pack, I couldn’t help but admire the beautiful, colorful artwork. The entire presentation felt fun and bright, exactly what I’d want to hand to any child.
As a child, I remember those fun days of Elementary School Choir, Children’s Church, and Vacation Bible School, singing along with friends to songs that taught us about God. Those tunes weren’t just music; they were memories being made. They filled recreation rooms and fellowship halls with laughter and helped shape my faith in a profoundly meaningful way. Hearing them again on this album took me right back to those moments.
The Slugs & Bugs brand has always been intentional about creating fun, faith-filled experiences for children, and this new project continues that tradition in a beautiful way. They’re currently releasing new songs on streaming platforms a little at a time, building anticipation for the full album. However, I had the opportunity to listen to the entire CD, and I’m excited to share my thoughts with you!
Slugs & Bugs: Songs That Made My Heart Smile
Some of my favorite classics included:
🎵 Father Abraham
🎵 This Little Light of Mine
🎵 I’ve Got the Joy, Joy, Joy, Joy
🎵 He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands

Each song carries its own unique sound. Father Abraham has a joyful gospel rhythm that made me smile. Jesus Loves Me features a fun rock ’n’ roll vibe that gives the classic a fresh feel, and the final song on the album, “Remember Jesus,” closes the album in a beautiful, worshipful way. It’s perfect for drawing children into moments of praise and reflection.
Slugs & Bugs’ Engaging and Imaginative Details
One thing I especially loved is that there are three tracks with narration that introduce songs and characters. These little moments are creative and engaging, making listening feel like an adventure and inviting children to imagine the story behind each song.

And for parents and grandparents who want to make this a sing-along experience, the CD includes a full lyric booklet inside the case. It’s such a thoughtful touch that encourages participation and learning.
Final Thoughts About Slugs & Bugs
Listening to Kid’s Sunday Songs reminded me of the pure joy and simplicity of childhood faith. Those early days when songs about Jesus helped us understand who He is. Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, Sunday school teacher, or just someone who loves sharing music that honors God, this album is a must-have.

Until the full album officially releases, you can listen to a few of the new tracks right now on streaming platforms. Just visit the Slugs & Bugs site to explore more of the Slugs & Bugs collection and rediscover the joy of worship through a child’s heart.
It’s a pleasure to bring you yet another resource review. Continue to fill the children in your life with the joy of the Lord!
