You always belong

knowing god’s love and finding your place

Book reviewer, Priscilla holding Uncomplicate It

About the book

If your child struggles with perfectionism, people-pleasing, or constantly seeking approval, You Always Belong offers a gentle and reassuring message rooted in truth.

Written by Jinger Duggar Vuolo and Jeremy Vuolo, this beautifully illustrated children’s book reminds young hearts that their worth is not tied to performance, behavior, or meeting expectations. Inspired by themes from People Pleaser, the story helps children understand that they are already fully loved by God.

With warmth and clarity, the authors explore powerful truths in a way children can grasp:

  • God’s love is unconditional

  • We always belong in His love

  • We don’t have to earn approval

  • It’s healthy and okay to have boundaries—even to say “no”

At its core, You Always Belong plants seeds of confidence, security, and identity in God’s love—helping families have meaningful conversations about belonging and boundaries.

My Personal Thoughts & Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You Always Belong has easily become one of my favorite faith-based young readers’ books!

To begin, I was immediately drawn to this book for its colorfully expressive illustrations of God’s children and its central focus, “You Always Belong.” There’s something about a book that points to our all-important identity as God’s precious creation. One that reveals it not just through seamless poetry but also through pictures, that all God’s children belong.

I want to add that his story is a great teaching tool for kids’ home or classroom libraries because it teaches many principles that little ones should learn early.

For instance,
* God’s Love
* Spreading the Light of God
* Jesus Christ, our Savior
* The Responsibility to Help Others
* Living as Bearers of God’s Image

Next, I can’t forget to share my favorite illustration, which emotionally conveys a little girl’s feeling of being unwanted. Still, the narrator gently and poetically reminds her that she is a child of God. It then leads into a scene of her with three girls, illustrating that she always belongs.

I highly recommend this book to families, schools, libraries, and churches, as it is truly a literary gem for preschool and early elementary littles.

In a world where children are constantly searching for a sense of belonging, books like this truly matter.

My Personal Thoughts & Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Making Home Your Happy Place has helped me think deeply about why chronic clutter has been a lifelong struggle for me.

Since beginning Katy Joy Wells’ book, I have learned to approach my need to declutter gracefully. I value how she shares relatable stories as she unpacks why we experience clutter and overwhelm. I also appreciate the reflection and take action sections she has included at the close of the chapters.

A favorite concept she has introduced to me is the RESET. I often freeze even at the thought of confronting my clutter. The RESET teaching disarmed my reservations about getting started with decluttering. It gave me a manageable starting point.

Making Home Your Happy Place is an expert, easy-to-read companion. It’s perfect for people like me who are overwhelmed and carry shame around their clutter. It is helping me break through my striving to make my home perfect, address my history with “stuff,” and declutter with tried-and-true systems—in a healthy way that will stick.

I already recommend this book as a guide to decluttering with grace.

Uncomplicate It

Permission to Enjoy God in Your Unique Way

Book reviewer, Priscilla holding Uncomplicate It

About the book

In Uncomplicate It, Hosanna Wong gently challenges the pressure many of us feel to make our relationship with God look polished, structured, or identical to someone else’s. With honesty and biblical clarity, she confronts the quiet lie that spiritual growth must follow a certain formula—or resemble a past season of life that no longer fits.

Through Scripture, research, and personal insight, Hosanna unpacks what God’s Word actually says about abiding in Him. Instead of adding more rules, expectations, or performance-based habits, she offers readers freedom. Freedom to approach God without comparison. Freedom to let go of perfectionism. Freedom to enjoy Him in the unique way He designed them to.

Uncomplicate It serves as a permission slip to step out of striving and into a genuine, life-giving connection with God—one that is rooted in truth, grace, and personal relationship rather than pressure or performance.

Now that you have a background on this gem of a book, let’s dive deeper with my personal review.

My Personal Thoughts & Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Uncomplicate It helped me demolish lies about my relationship with God and overcome perfectionism in my Bible time, prayer, and devotion. It debunked the notion that my relationship with God should look like someone else’s, or that it must look like it did years ago. This is a message I desperately need in this season as I approach my relationship with God from the heart and a place of rest, not from performance or hustle.

Without a doubt, I give this book 5 stars for how well it was written, the research that went into it, and for how well Hosanna unpacked what God‘s Word actually says about connecting with Him in a relationship.

My biggest takeaways were seeing how the Roadblocks in life can actually be used as shortcuts to a true relationship with God and to value my uniqueness, which sets the stage for many aspects of my personal relationship with God. This is definitely a helpful handbook to keep in your faith-based book library!

Lightbulb moments in marriage

12 Biblical perspectives for successful and satisfied couples

About the book

Lightbulb Moments in Marriage by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs is a faith-centered marriage resource designed to help couples experience meaningful “aha” moments that can bring clarity, healing, and renewed understanding to their relationship. Drawing from more than two decades of counseling and ministry experience, Dr. Eggerichs shares twelve biblically grounded insights that encourage couples to shift their perspective, strengthen communication, and view one another through the lens of God’s Word.

This book gently addresses common frustrations many couples face — repeated misunderstandings, communication breakdowns, and the feeling of being stuck despite sincere effort and prayer. Through memorable, Scripture-anchored truths, readers are invited to reconsider how they respond to their spouse, how they pursue mutual understanding, and how biblical wisdom can transform everyday interactions within marriage.

With practical encouragement and spiritually rooted guidance, Lightbulb Moments in Marriage offers couples fresh perspective and simple but powerful reframes that can bring greater peace, connection, and intentionality to their relationship — whether newly married or decades in.

Now that you have a background on this treasure of a book, let’s dive deeper with my personal review.

My Personal Thoughts & Review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wow, I am more than halfway through the new Christian non-fiction book, Lightbulb Moments in Marriage! Based on what I’ve read, this is a 5-star read for me. Dr. Emerson Eggerichs has already enlightened me on many areas I hadn’t fully explored, even after almost 17 years of marriage. Topics he’s gracefully covered that have been impactful to me are: our value being God-given, not spouse-driven; our worldview — the Holy Word, not Hollywood; communication versus mutual understanding; and evaluating our intent — “Does the way we treat our spouse move the heart of Christ?”

I always enjoy a book that offers substance beyond surface-level encouragement, and this one delivers. This book has great value with stories from Dr. Eggerich’s work in communication and marital relationships, question sections, frameworks, numerous Scripture references, and lists of action steps. I am also pleased with the focal point of God’s design for marriage throughout Lightbulb Moments in Marriage.

I recommend this book to married couples fighting to save their sacred unions, especially those who have been taken over by arguments, personal differences, tension, and misunderstandings, leaving them striving to survive.

At this stage in my reading, I can confidently say the seven biblical perspectives (”lightbulb moments”) I’ve read thus far are a biblically anchored starting point for addressing striving in marriage. The conversations my husband and I have had since the beginning of this book have already been rewarding.

Howdy, Handsome Review: A Sweet Romantic Comedy to Start 2026

Howdy, Handsome was the perfect book to kick off my romance reading for 2026. I immediately fell in love with the FMC in this sweet romcom and found myself eagerly rooting for her happily ever after. The cowgirl-and-astronaut pairing felt refreshingly unique, and the way Cassandra Joelle brought those two worlds together was both fun and creative.

A Lighthearted, Funny Romance That’s Easy to Binge

Humor fills the pages, which was exactly what I needed. Reading is one of my mental wellness practices, and this story kept me laughing and turning the pages, wondering if the astronaut would ever come out of his amnesia. It’s definitely a page-turner.

A Faith-Forward Romance Focused on Friendship and God’s Timing

What stood out most was the beautiful portrayal of friendship and romance done God’s way. I loved how both the FMC and MMC turned to prayer throughout their journey, gently weaving faith into the story. It was a heartfelt reminder that God’s timing is always perfect.
